Ambika, a 29-year-old film producer, is the daughter of Ashok, the youngest of the four Hinduja brothers. She is marrying Raman Macker, a Punjabi.
Producer Ambika Hinduja is quite unperturbed by Arshad Warsi's the last minute walk-out from her production Teen Patti, being directed by Leena Yadav. Amitabh Bachchan is playing a major role in the film.
While Ambika does feel that Arshad should have given her prior notice of his unwillingness to do the film, she maintains that the loss is entirely his. There are enough actors out there who want to be a part of Teen Patti, she says, and hence it is no big deal if Arshad does not want to be part of the production. Although the actor has not reverted to date, Ambika maintains that his contract stipulated that he would give his dates keeping Bachchan's dates in mind. Responding to the reports that the actor opted out as was offered the chance to play the lead in Vishal Bharadwaj's film, she says that the Big B is the soul of her film and if someone does not respect his commitments, she would rather not work with them. It is believed that Arshad had issues with the Big B giving his inputs to the script. He felt that it amounted to interference and diminished the significance of his role. The producer feels that the Big B's suggestions on the script have been very valid. Ambika has been an assistant to Subhash Ghai during Yaadein and Farhan Akhtar during Lakshya. Eventually, she would like to direct but right now she has started her own company Serendipity Films with Being Cyrus and feels that she has still to establish the company before she moves to direction. The film is being produced by her father, the industrialist Ashok Hinduja.
